In today's world most pregnant mother's feel that birth is something that happened to them versus something that they felt was empowering for them & their family. At Life Without Fear Chiropractic we desire to change the current narrative by helping mother's feel empowered again through their pregnancy & birth. Dr. Mateo is a ICPA member & has received advanced training in the Webster's technique to ensure our pregnant mother's receive the best prenatal care.  Research continues to show the benefits & effectiveness of chiropractic care during pregnancy, by reducing labor times & delivery pains by up to 60%.  We believe there are 3 crucial components (Power, Passage, Passenger) to ensuring a natural, beautiful, empowering pregnancy & birth.

Power

The nervous system (Power) operates in all body processes, including child birth. For birth to proceed as it was naturally designed to, the nervous system must facilitate the transmission of information through the body. By removing interferences and imbalances to the nervous system, chiropractic care helps lead to a normal, physiological birth.

Passage

For the baby to descend through the birth canal (Passage), the balance of the mother's pelvis is vitally important. With chiropractic care & the Webster's technique the muscles and ligaments of the pelvis and uterus are free to move and function for the benefit to the mother and the baby. The result is greater ease and comfort in pregnancy and birth.

Passenger

The baby (Passenger) wants to get into the best possible position to descend through the birth canal. The movements inherent to the the birthing baby will be positively facilitated when the mother's nervous system is optimally functioning and her pelvis is balanced. Birth is a cooperative endeavor, where the mom and the baby play vitally connected roles.

Webster
Technique

Dr. Mateo has received advanced training in the Webster's Technique, which is a specifically designed chiropractic technique for to create an optimal pregnancy for mom & baby.

Creating a new life is an incredible process and requires the mother's & baby's body to go through many drastic changes. Pregnancy can often cause aches, pains & new discomforts. These are often spine & nerve related, specifically during pregnancy the pelvis & sacrum can shift positions more frequently, creating tension on the nerves & ligaments that support the uterus. With specific chiropractic adjustments, we can remove nerve interference & restore alignment to the pelvis, sacrum & uterus. This creates optimal nerve supply to mom & baby, more space for baby to shift into better birth positioning, more comfort for mom, & a optimal birthing experience for mom & baby.

Preconception
& Infertility

The nervous system is one of the most vitally important systems for proper optimal reproduction & reproductive organ function.  We commonly see couples who have thought they were infertile become fertile through restoring proper nerve supply to the entire body, through neurologically centered chiropractic care.
